Trying to run 3.8 on a new Dimension 5100 which has the Intel 845g/950 graphics board, but cd stops loading at the initrd stage (if I remember correctly). Is this chipset supported in any way? I was told that non-live distros would probably use the 915graphics driver, but havent tried anything but knoppix yet.

Could this be a Serial ATA problem? Any help appreciated.
