The first time I used linux was at my moms friends house. And it was knoppix it was great so i went home to try linux out and my dads friend set me up with ubuntu linux. It worked great wireless did not work. Sound worked for a while but then quit when i tried using jack so i could use ardour to record sound.
Well so far i have a hd install of knoppix and I want to get sound recording to work.
Do i still have to go through jack?
What works for recording?
