Hello all,
I looked at the stickies, but didn't see anything to point. I applogize in the almost sure event that this is a repeat. If easier, pls refer me to the proper sticky.
I've had a hard drive crash and am trying to recover the data. I download v4.0.2 from a mirror and burned to CD. The file is an .ISO file. When I try to boot via the cd, my machine (Dell 4700) says "select boot device not availible."
I'm a Linux virgin, so pls use small words!
Thanks for the help.

Verifying of md5 checksum and burning a CD at slow speed are important.

Assuming your machine can boot from bootable CDs, then this sounds like you burnt the ISO as as file and not as an image. When you burn the ISO as an image you will then see this directory structure when you browse the CD:Originally Posted by Ol Jock 99
