pkg. install

just installed knoppix to the hd. every time i try to install pkgs. using apt-get get get message, "dynamic MMap ran out of room" and words to the point that /var/apt/lists cannot be parsedor opened. how to fix this, if anyone can help would appreciate it, thanks

thanks underscore. for anybody having the same problem all you do is increase the cache size in /etc/apt/apt.conf and all's ok with apt.
an editor has to be used for that.
