I had hd installed knoppix 4.01(debian).
I had an ext modem (/dev/ttys0) and ethernet port(eth0).
When i try to configure either one of them,thing freeze-up and had to force quitting.
Thing only works if configure the eth0 manually(/etc/network/interfaces).
But stuck again with my modem,can anybody offer helps,so that i can surf using debian
(instead of ms-w2k currently).
