I have wondered why screen is blanked after using Ctrl-O in Midnight Commander. In KDE it works but NOT in text console. This seems to be the case also in original Knoppix. Anyhow, in Kanotix it works. It also works after hd install in original Knoppix and in my remastering.

So how can I get text saved in text console that it remains readable after Ctrl-o?
