After remastering the home directory of new user is gone

Hello!

I followed all the steps of http://www.knoppix.net/wiki/Knoppix_Remastering_Howto and am able to remaster my own knoppix.
Yet I have a big problem when booting into the created image. The user directory cannot be found although it was there before I remastered knoppix. Here some screenshots.








I use the german Knoppix 4 DVD under vmware.

Any idea?
