Hi , Im really new to Linux(approx 6 hrs) and im running Knoppix Live CD

I went to try and drag and drop an icon from the "start" list(or whatever the main list of aps++ is called) and of course it did not work , but after that my desktop icons all dissappeared.
I find i can not right click on the desktop and create them again.

im sure this is all a simple cross=over issue with me but does anyone know how i can create them again so i can easilly access my HDD and other apps
