Bittorrent actually compares every chunk of the file that it gets to a hash that comes with the chunk. Could be, it works the heck out of the system. However I've used it with smaller files and it works fine. I'm wondering if a 3+ GB file is too much for this system or if something else is going wrong somewhere.
