customizing short cut task bar... ( quick launch )

i have remastered Knoppixx 3.8.2 in my locale language..
Just to add more flavours as per my convenience.. i want to customize and set my quick launch according to my convenience
how can i customize my taskbar and quick launch according to my preference.??
which files i need to edit??
say i need to put a open office task bar icon out there.. How can i do that
reply at the earliest..

Just take a look at /etc/skel/.kde/share/config/kickerr and look ServiceButton sections. Make sure you have absolute path to the program and not relative path. Relative paths starts with $HOME and it is removed during remastering.

Here you see the difference:
Absolute path:

[ServiceButton_7]
DesktopFile=/usr/share/applications/mozilla-firefox.desktop
FreeSpace=0
StorageId=mozilla-firefox.desktop

Relative path:
DesktopFile=$HOME/.kde/share/apps/kicker/mozilla-firefox.desktop

Just take a look at /etc/skel/.kde/share/config/kickerr and look ServiceButton sections

just wanted to correct that the actual file name is kickerrc not kickerr.
anyways thanks for the help.
