The PS/2 keyboard locks up periodically when using Knoppix 3.9 installed (as beginner mode) on an SATA hard drive, dual boot with WinXP. Restarting the X session seems to solve it.

I tried hooking up a wireless USB keyboard in tandem with the PS/2, both worked fine, but then when the keyboard locked up, they BOTH locked up. So it's not a PS/2 problem, it seems to have to do with keyboard input in general.

It usually happens when my son is using Gaim and Mozilla, or using Gaim and Open Office writer. Could it be a gaim bug?
