scripts unchanged after creating ISO

Hello,

I would like to start in runlevel 1 (text mode)
so I changed this line (after chroot) in /etc/inittab

Code:

# The default runlevel.
id:5:initdefault:

to this

Code:

# The default runlevel.
id:1:initdefault:

after booting the qemu i found that the script didn't change ?!!!

sorry, the KNOPPIX compressed image was not updated by my script, so the /etc/inittab didn't change
