I get these messages while boot up, I need to run alsaconf after I login.

Setting up ALSA /etc/init.d/alsa Warning : Failed with error " No state is present for card ICH5" done No Soundcard


another message is

/dev/mapper/control -> Failed to connect to kernel,
Incompatible libdevmapper 1-0-1-CH (2005-01-01) compact kernel

something of that sort

Any Solutions to these messages
