We are looking for somebody who can compile a stable 2.6.x kernel, and tweak startup scripts. The kernel must support USB booting, SATA, and possibly add a bootsplash. It's an interesting challenge.

Our remaster is based on Knoppix 3.4, but that should not be a problem to those with the appropriate knowledge.
