Ich habe Windows und Knoppix 3.7 parallel auf einem Laptop.
Allerdings ist die Anzeigezeit des Auswahlbildschirms beim Rechnerstart
(Knoppix-Windows) sehr kurz.
Wie kann man die verlängern ?

I have installed Knoppix 3.7 on my laptop, parallel to Windows XP.
All works well, but the first screen, in which i can choose whether i will
start knoppix or windows, is shown only for two seconds. Therefore i have nearly
a chance to choose.
How can i setup the time for that the screen will be shown ?

you will need to edit the /boot/grub/menu.lst file and increase the timeout value.

this file does not exist !
there is no file like *.lst

are you using grub? the file is either named menu.lst or grub.conf
are you using lilo? If so the file is /etc/lilo.conf

/etc/lilo.conf exists and it works.
