I tried to use the Internet with Knoppix, but I can only browse with Konqueror. I can use Firefox or XChat, only with the specific IP not with hostnames. The settings from the DHCP are correctly. What can I do?

System configuration:

Knoppix: 5.0 CeBIT-DVD
Chipset: NVIDIA nForce™4 Ultra MCP (with LAN)
Processor: Atlon64 3000+
