knoppix won't boot.

When I put in knoppix everything seems to be loading just fine on my Vaio. But at the end of the bootup screen I get this message:

Please stand by a few seconds while the optimal configuration
is being determined.

After this session terminates, the system will automatically shut down.


Then knoppix doesn't load. It goes to a balck screen with some distorted colors here and there. What can i do? thanks.

Also, answers will be more forthcoming from the more experienced users here if you say things like what particular version of knoppix you are running, and more information about your Viao.
