Modem not found : Knoppix 3.7

On different pcs and laptops i have the problem that KPPP didn't find the modem
(all are on COM3)

I think there is a bug in KPPP , - or ?
what can i do ?

No, KPPP does not find winmodems. You must install driver for your winmodem, than kppp can do its job - to conect you to your ISP.
