Dell Optiplex GXl sound card not found

Knoppix 4.0 is not finding my intergrated sound card on my Dell Optiplex GXl. The chip on the motherboard is a Crystal cs4236b-ka, Atajte9949
Is there way to load a driver for it?

use alsaconf in su
choose Cirrus Logic snd-cs4236 (Crystal Audio) driver
follow instructions
configure alsamixer and/or kmix
then checkout lsmod to see it installed
