You are not telling us enough. Are you trying to connect wired or wireless? Does Knoppix even recognize your NIC? If connecting wired and Knoppix does see the NIC then you should normally get set up automatically by DHCP. What version of Knoppix is this for that matter, and you are running from a disc and have not done something foolish like try to "install" it to hard disk, right?
