I used the current (5.01) CD to install Knoppix to the HD of an old IBM Thinkpad A21.

The USB attached printer is reckognized just fine and the driver installs in cups without problem. When I try to print a testpage however, I get an error that the document format is not supported:

Print-Job client-error-document-format-not-supported: Unsupported format 'application/octet-stream'!
I already googled around and uncommented the lines referring to application/octet-stream' in mime.types and mime.convs however that didn't help.

does anyone have an idea what is wrong here ? what can I do to find out more ?
