Konquerer and Other Applications In Taskbar Don't Work

I'm running on Knoppix 5.0 and Konquerer, Firefox, and a host of other things in the taskbar don't work. Any help on this issue would be appreciated.

This may well be a well-known issue, though I doubt it. But you have to provide more information if you expect help. It's like leaving an auto mechanic a note telling him your car makes noise and could he please tell you how to fix it.

Does Knoppix give you any errors or problems with auto-configuration during startup?
