    Startup

I am running linux from Knoppix CD. My demo should bring up a browser (konquerer) and bring up a particular site. How do I tinker with knoppix files (.profile, .bash_profile??) to achieve this. Or is there any other method.

    Thanks,
    Prasad.

Remastering Knoppix CD-bootable Linux ( Uncompressed Outer )

Remastering Knoppix CD-bootable Linux ( Uncompressed Outer Layer )

    http://www.PLOSkit.com/pub/pdf/knopp...ster-outer.pdf

ABSTRACT: Procedure to customize and remaster the
uncompressed “Outer Layer” of a Knoppix CD-bootable Linux.
Uncompressed “Outer Layer” files may be viewed/copied on any
system that supports an ISO9660 CD-ROM.
Install user's web pages and multi-media using
KDE drag&drop and just a couple console commands.
    Very simple.
Great for business & family multi-media kiosks, appliance projects/products, too.
    Supports ( future ) uncompressed
    knoppix-autoconfig, knoppix-halt, & knoppix-terminalserver scripts.

I will give that a try.

Any ideas on setting up the proxy in the outer-image.

    Thanks.
