Run Knoppix on System with no HDD, Hard drive

I have a laptop that has no working harddrive. When "creating the /etc/fstab..." file during boot-up, Knoppix stops loading while the drive just skips (because of bad sectors). There has to be a way to run Knoppix without the HDD, right?

Yep. You could try disabling the hard drive in the bios.

Although you will have no swap space, so you will need lots of RAM
