Anyone get CPU Speed stepping working?

I'm curious who is using Knoppix with successful utilization of the various cpu speed switching technologies (Intel speedstep, AMD cool'n'quiet, AMD Powernow!).

Curious what CPU, and what version of knoppix is being used and what was necessary to get the cpu stepping to work.

Knoppix 5.0.1 LiveCD, AMD Sempron 3000+

knoppix@1[knoppix]$ sudo modprobe powernow-k8
knoppix@1[knoppix]$ sudo /etc/init.d/powernowd start
sudo: /etc/init.d/powernowd: command not found

powernowd works fine with Kanotix, though.
