Seems to be a bug in Knoppix. You could try LC_ALL=en sudo kwifimanager from Konsole.


ps. Knoppix is known to have problems when installed to HD. Especially with net. And wireless seems to be especially hard to get working in Knoppix.
So I'd suggest trying something else. I've had good results with Ubuntu, but I havn't used it with wireless so I don't know how good it is with wireless.
