connect through lan net

hey everyone! great forum. i have knoppix 3.6 and i'd like to no how to access other computers with a lan net (the other comp has windows.) i already tried writing the ip address on konqueror but it never finishes loading, it does connect though. thanks.

Two magic words are your best friends in this topic: SSH and FISH.
SSH is the daemon you have to activate in the server_pc. You can do that via 'Kmenu->KNOPPIX->Services->Start SSH server'.
FISH is the network protocol that make you able to browse your networked_pcs with konqueror.
Just type in the Konqueror addres-bar something like:'fish://user@ipaddress(es.192.168.0.13):/home/user'.
