Thanks for all the help Harry, but I'm just not having any luck it seems.

Viewmeter shows no abnormalities and the boot options you suggested didn't solve it. I did update my video drivers, but that didn't seem to help either. As for your ideas about the video card and it's DVI/Analog output, I'm not sure how to force analog as you suggested.

I'm not sure if that helps you, but I just can't seem to find the problem, and I may just give up until I have my laptop at my disposal. If you have any further suggestions I'd love to hear them, but if not, don't sweat it.
