I'm using Knoppix 5.1.1 CD and it's not supporting the 1680x1050 resolution of my monitor. I've tried the cheat code "screen=1680x1050" and "screen=1680x1050 xvrefresh=75" and neither one helped. Knoppix keeps booting to 1268x1020 resolution.

The monitor is an Acer Al2016W. The motherboard is an ECS P4M800Pro-M utilizing the VIA P4M800Pro (NB) and VT8237 (SB) chipsets.

Does anyone have any suggestions, ideas?
