black screen

I just downloaded the 5.10 version of Knoppix. I run my cd and every check and tests were fine. And when it was time for the OS to load, i just get a black screen waiting for something to happen. But in the end not even a single word appeared. I run "knoppix testcd", there was no errors. Any help please.

Make sure your BIOS is booting from the CD drive, you should see a grub screen with some menu choices, (enter for default kernel) if not, your BIOS may be too old and unable to boot El-torrito type CD's/

How old is your computer, and what make / version number is your BIOS?

Ya, my pc boots from cdrom. well the cd starts and knoppix checks a lot things and when it comes at loading the th OD itself nothing appears.
