boot knoppix straight into runlevel 2.... (Text Mode) by entering the following at the boot prompt:

knoppix 2


Once at a prompt.... issue the following commands:

(assuming FC6 is installed at /dev/hda1)

mount /dev/hda1 -o rw    
cd /media/hda1/etc/

pico fstab

Edit and save...


Then issue:
Code:
reboot

All done
