Knoppix STD won't boot
Hi everyone I burned knoppix std on a cd with nero 7 and I tried booting it and the screen says: loading linux kernal
and all it doesn't even get to show the penguin at the top-left corner.

Try waiting at least 5-7 minutes for the penguin to appear.
This is especially try if you have a PC with an Intel SATA drive controller, such as many Dell desktop PCs.
There is a bug in the linux driver for this hardware that can delay the boot time significantly. It was fixed in a newer version of the linux kernel (newer than the one used in knoppix 5.1.1)
If that doesn't work, try typing in:
failsafe
at the boot prompt.
