    Desktop changes reverting back in HD-inst

    I change the names and locations of icons on my desktop, and they revert back after I log out. Why is this?

    ver 5.1 HD-inst.

    When you did the harddrive install did you choose knoppix-like ?

    If so this is probably your problem, choose either Debian Style or Beginner.
