5.1.1 live myconfig prob

knoppix 5.0.1 live boots with prompt and myconfig=scan works fine.
knoppix 5.1.1 live boots ok but no prompt
goes straight into running knoppix
how do i get 5.1.1 to find myconfig or equivalent ?
