Can I remove the sun-java5-bin?

Hi,

I am considering to remove sun-java5-bin from my remastered Cd. Do I have to have Java?

Doing the simulated removal

Code:

apt-get -s remove sun-java5-bin

will tell you what other packages depend on it and would therefore also be removed.

Usually you don't. Some web pages needs java but not too many. I have removed java and have not longed for it.

If you need some more space consider removing also nessus and wireshark. If you have never used them, propably you never need them.
