cd burning

can anybody help me, because i can't seem to find the/any cd burning software in knoppix

i used reh hat before and i kept looking for koncd
never heard of k3b though as a cd burning soft

Though K3b is definately a nice GUI it can give you problems. You would be surprised how simple ISO burning from the commandline is. Enter, as root, cdrecord -scanbus. Find your writer in the list (for example, mine is 0,0,0).

To burn an ISO you enter cdrecord -dev=0,0,0 -speed=4 file. Off coarse you may change the speed value to something higher, cdrecord will (if everything works okay) check if the medium and the recorder allow the speed.
