knoppix 5.1 live cd freeze my computer after these two lines:
PCI : Probing PCI hardware (bus 00)
ACPI :Assume root bridge [\_SB_PCI0] bus is 0
I can bypass this booting with acpi=off option, but the machine is slow, the desktop is empty and hard drives are not reachable.
My computer (hp dc7700) has only SATA (no IDE at all) an I think that this can cause trouble with kernel 2.6. A similar trouble was fixed in g4l live cd adding the patch SK98.
Any idea?
