Mouse cursor invisible

hi guys
I have a funny problem. Well i got my knoppix to work without any problems. I get into my main console i can see everything perfectly, except the mouse cursor. I mean it registers the mouse couse when i roll over things it shows that the mouse is active but the pointer himself is invisble. Im new to linux so i really dont know where to go to change this or maybe its just a option that i need to take off ( invisible cursor)
