Problem with 4-port USB PCI card

My PC has a 4-port USB 2.0 PCI card (VIA VT6212L) installed. With Knoppix 5.1.1. CD. The USB devices work erratically. For example:
- With the wireless USB adapter, the adapter was detected. Ndiswrapper also detects the adapter. The adapter can connect to the wireless access point but can not get IP address ("pump -i wlan0" returns error).
- With the wireless USB adapter as above, sometimes it gets IP but the connection dropped after few minutes and can not reconnect again
- With the wireless USB adapter as above, sometimes it gets IP but the connection dropped and reconnected itself every few minutes.
- With USB drive for Persistent Home, got bad sector error during boot
- With USB external hard disk, it does not work at all. The error at the hard disk remains after we moved the hard disk to Windows machine. Need to turn the hard disk on and off.


The cards works with Win 2000.
The two on-board USB 1.1 ports work perfectly with the wireless USB, USB drive, USB hard disk.

In case it help. this is the lsmod output. The outputs are the same if we remove the USB PCI card (there are still 2 on-board USB 1.1). Note that I loaded Ndiswrapper for the wireless USB and unload the wireless module from auto-detection.
