Wireless Problem

Hey guys. I just downloaded and copied a version of Knoppix 5.1.1 Live CD on my Dell Insporon 8600 laptop with intel 2200bg wireless card. When I try to connect to a wireless setup it gives me a wpa supplement error. What is the problem? I know absolutely zero about linux as the first day that I used it was yesterday.
