Oh, and one more thing...
I've tried booting with some cheatcodes like failsafe, noscsi acpi=off nodma,
but they were of no use.
Hi all!
I'm trying to boot Knoppix from a CD, but it stops at the following line:
The dash just keeps on blinking...Code:Disabling IRQ #16 Welcome to ... Running Linux Kernel 2.6.19 Total Memory ... Scanning for USB/Firewire devices... Done. Enabling DMA acceleration for: hdc [My DVD-ROM] Looking for CD in: /dev/hdc
I've tried booting with my other Cd-Rom, but it stops at the same line again.
Any help would be really appeciated!

Did you confirm the md5 chcksum of the ISO that you downloaded? Did you make your burn at low speed?
---
Verifying of md5 checksum and burning a CD at slow speed are important.
Thanks for your reply!
The chcksum was fine, but I burned the CD at 16x so this might be the problem.
I ran out of CDs, so I'll go buy some today and burn the image at the lowest speed.
