Boot Hangup in Activating Modules

running an AMD Athlon at 1.8 GHz with 1.5G of Ram
Knoppix 5.1.1 (Thompson Course Technology CD)

Boot sequence hangs up while activating module "i2c_ec processor"
Any thoughts?

Two thing to try, reboot the livecd, and at the isolinux boot prompt try:

knoppix failsafe

(this disables most of the hardwrae detection so should boot your system)

then try

knoppix expert

you will get prompt to load certain drivers, so you can hopefully find what piece of hardware
is causing problems
