So I came across an older 15in Elo touchscreen crt monitor the other day.. My server running knoppix is located high up on a shelf..not easily gotten to. So my thought was to see if this screen could be used (monitor has both usb and serial interfaces) to help watch the box..maybe open atop or something. Anyway the way its situated doesnt allow for easy keyb or mouse access and a display is almost out of the question without totally clearing the shelf below. Now granted I can do most of anyhting I'd need via ssh..however having a display to watch boot posts and the like would be nice.
So has anyone successfully gotten a touchscreen to work? Off Elo's website there is Linux drivers for their various models, so with that Im assuming just somoe config afterward would be needed..
Any help is appreciated thanks!
