Hello,

Recent Knoppix versions (up to 2003-05-20) seem to have broken sftp access in Konqueror. Users should be able to enter a URL in Konqueror like:

sftp://[email protected]

and have a nice Konqueror gui experience. Instead, after Konqueror prompts to accept the ssh server public key, it stalls a minute, then pops an error message:

Unexpected SFTP error message: 2 -
Error encountered while talking to ssh

I have tested that this functionality works in Knoppix versions as late as 2003-03-30. Note: command line ssh/sftp still works fine on all versions.

Any ideas on workarounds or fixes?
