I have a dial-up modem @ home.

i tried to configure it, when i use the KPP dialer tool's settings, it says my modem is not configured when i give the modem's location as "/dev/modem"

I used it(internet) when i was running on CD but after i installed the knoppix into HardDisk i cannot use internet because of the above mentioned problem

I tried others too but it is still the same

Modem is attached to COM1 and it's type is external and it's brand is "ACERMODEM II 56 D-F-V".

Please help me
