I have a unique system, but not necessarily a unique problem. I have two motherboards wired to one power supply. I am running knoppix 5.1 from two cdroms; one on each board. Each board has 2Gb of DDR ram running in dual channel mode. The one board will boot toram, but the other one won't. I get the following error:
kernel panic-not syncing:VFS:Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block (1,3)

I tried booting in expert mode, but I still have the same problem. I have compared the bios settings of each board side by side and they are identical.
