hp5150 printer

I hsve an HP5150 printer and this printer refuse to print also under knoppix, it will install as an USB printer , but no output of the printer.
I have a simular problem with this same printer with SUSE up to 10.3, after instalation the printer works fine but due to some unknown reason, after a difficult printjob it stopt working as a printer,

uhm, i happen to haver such a printer, how did you configure it? what choises?
it works for me, i am using hplip driver and cups server
i am sadly not able to aces that computer just now (not at home) but I can likely put my config here in a few days time.
