Ive just recently got knoppix 3.2 and when booting from the CD it loadds onto the desktop but i cant use the mouse or keyboard.

They are both USB microsoft pheriphals

I have a Microsoft optical mouse and a Microsoft office keyboard.

could this be the problem with the USB device or the drivers?
