K 6.1 does not set up keyboard

I have a Toshiba Satellite A205-S5825 running vista. When I boot to the Knoppix 6.1 DVD as provided by Linux Magazine it does not setup my keyboard or track pad. I substituted a mouse for the pointing device and it works OK. Could someone point me to how to get the keyboard to respond properly?

Tried it again and all set up ok including the keyboard and the pointing device
