i have just bought an ITE raid card that uses the IT8212 chip. When i run Knoppix without any drives connected to it, all the 'onboard' drives are put at hd{e,f,g,h} but with 1 or more drives connected to the ITE card, knoppix wil not boot. Doing "Knoppix failsafe" shows that Knoppix fails when trying to negotiate the controller card. Has anyone else had this problem and solved it? - if so please let me know how you did so. Or maybe someone has some advise about solving my problem anyway. Thank you.
